Carolina Brewery Guide is an independent directory of every brewery, brewpub and beer business in North and South Carolina.

How the listings stay current

Our starting data includes the open-source Open Brewery DB, which we supplement with our own research and submissions from owners and readers. Every day our software visits each brewery's own website to pick up events, specials, beer lists and signs that a business has closed. Anything we can't confirm is labeled so you can call ahead.

Our crawler

Our bot identifies itself as CarolinaBreweryGuideBot, respects robots.txt, reads only a handful of public pages per site per day and pauses between requests. Brewery owners who'd like us to stop can block it in robots.txt or email us.

Sponsored content

Featured listings and ads are marked "Featured" or "Sponsored". Payment never changes our facts or rankings, and readers' choice results come only from reader votes.
